World Human Spirit Day is observed on February 17th of every year. The human spirit is the spiritual or mental part of humanity. Christians emphasize that the human spirit is the real person, the essential part of their existence. It includes our intellect, emotions, fears, passions, and creativity. The message of the World Human Spirit Day is a reminder of the simple ways we can empower ourselves every day.
“Man never made any material as resilient as the human spirit.” – Bernard Williams
History of World Human Spirit Day
World Human Spirit Day was started to be celebrated in 2003 by Michael Levy of Point of Life to promote a human spirit that lives the creative, peaceful, loving life that it was meant to be lived. It is said that the human spirit needs a place where any hands of man do not rearrange the place. The human spirit has always been a difficult chapter to comprehend.

How to Celebrate the Day
On this day, people around the world are encouraged to take 2 minutes of silence at 3 pm Eastern Time to meditate to find the right spirit of freedom and peace that lives within each of us. Silence connects us to the spirits and in the silence we are renewed and refreshed. This day is celebrated to search within for contentedness and to accept the fact that we do not have answers for everything and that may be for the best. In light of this day, we must practice a lot of balance, gratitude, mindfulness, and self-love. On this day, one can learn about the human spirit and adopt some habits like yoga, and meditation to feel content in this unpleasant society. Take a day out with nature and feel the bliss. Share your thoughts on social media about the day by using the hashtag #HumanSpiritDay.
