Small Business Saturday is an American shopping holiday designated for small companies. It is celebrated every year on the Saturday after US Thanksgiving (the busiest shopping season), and this year, it is celebrated on November 25. It is very difficult for small businesses to compete with big companies, that is why this day is celebrated every year. Small businesses are essential to healthy local economies, and they provide a lot of benefits to consumers that big corporations simply cannot. Every November, small business owners can take part in this day. In the UK, Small Business Saturday was started in the year 2013 after it gained popularity in the United States of America.
“Small business is the backbone of our economy. I’m for big business, too. But small business is where the jobs are generated” – Michele Bachmann.
