National Public Sleeping Day is celebrated on February 28 of every year. National Public Sleeping Day encourages people to sleep in public places like parks, beaches, movie theatres, or sleep during traveling on public transport like a train, bus, or even on a subway. It is one of the most beautiful and funny holidays we have seen. If you are tired on February 28, then you can go ahead and take a nice nap in public places.
“A day without a nap is like a cupcake without frosting.” -Terri Guillemets.
History of National Public Sleeping Day
The origin and history of this day are not known but this day is celebrated on 28th February since the year 2011. It is a perfect opportunity for everyone to sleep in public. Many studies and research on naps have shown that few types of naps refresh and recharge our brain. Taking a nap can enhance efficiency and reduce health problems and increase confidence. There are different kinds of naps. The Power Nap lasts for about 10 to 20 minutes, and this nap gives us energy throughout the day. The Hangover nap is approximately 30 minutes long, this nap leaves us loopy and makes us feel stay asleep. The Brainiac nap will last for about 60 minutes, and this nap gives the most profound sleep, so we may feel a little muzzy after waking up like the Hangover nap. The California King nap is approximately 90 minutes long and is usually a full cycle of sleep; this nap may also include a dream stage.
