National Paranormal Day is held on May 3rd of every year. The existence of a few things in the world cannot be explained or proved. They cannot be seen, heard, or felt in any way, and even the scientists cannot experiment with them as they are little more than a normal standard like the ghost, chupacabra, and more. It is called paranormal events that lie beyond normal experience and scientific explanation. There are thousands of people who believe that they are, in fact, seen, felt, or even come into direct contact with those with absolutely no evidence. It’s time to celebrate those outside-the-norm occurrences and those believers. With National Paranormal Day, all those who believe in ghosts and other paranormal events are celebrated.
“But I do believe in the paranormal, that there are things our brains just can’t understand.” – Art Bell
History of National Paranormal Day
The National Paranormal Day‘s history and origin are anonymous. There isn’t any record found about the reason for such a celebration and its author. However, it might be someone who believes in the paranormal events that would have come up with such an observance. Paranormal Day aims at celebrating those people who believe in paranormal activities and got fascinated by them. The Day also encourages people to discuss and share their paranormal incidents and experiences with others. For others, the Day gives a chance to get into a library to pick books on this topic or watch movies and documentaries that deal with this subject as a way to make them get involved in the celebration. Start celebrating the supernatural or paranormal actions irrespective of whether you are a skeptic or psychic.
The term paranormal has been existence in the English language since at least the 1920s. The word can be split into two parts the para and normal. The scientific explanation of the world around us is said to be normal, and those beyond, above, or contrary to that is called para. The most notable forms of the paranormal beliefs pertain to ghosts, unidentified flying objects, extraterrestrial life, cryptids, and psychic abilities or extrasensory perception. Charles Fort is perhaps the best-known collector of paranormal anecdotes. He is found to have compiled as many as 40,000 notes on the unexplained paranormal experiences. Many people also consider him as the father of modern paranormal, the study of the paranormal.

How to Celebrate National Paranormal Day
The National Paranormal Day is just for both believers and non-believers of paranormal events. Those who believe it can share their experience with others if they have any or listen to others about theirs. Probably, those skeptics can research more about the paranormal by learning in books or getting down with their friends to watch a ghost movie or science fiction movie. Organize a nice spooky-themed party and invite your friends (why not your ghost friends too for the party.) You can enjoy the day by making people who believe in it say some amusing incidents. Share your views and Paranormal Day celebrations on social media using the hashtag #ParanormalDay.
