Orphan Sunday is observed on the First Sunday of November. People should defend the fatherless children with care who has no family. To visit orphans in their affliction, each event is conducted locally-led. Sermons and small groups, concerts and prayer gatherings, meals sharing and youth activities, and each rousing followers with God’s call to care for the orphan, and what we can do in response. Every November, thousands of events will echo across the USA and around the globe, all would share the goal that God’s great love for the orphan will find an echo in our lives as well. Orphan Sunday is your opportunity to rouse community, church, and friends to the orphan.
“When you lose a parent, you realize how vital they are to the foundation of your life. It’s impossible to understand what it means until that curtain is pulled. You’re an orphan. But then I think that life is kind of remarkable, and the thing that causes the biggest pain can also bring amazing energy.” – Neneh Cherry
