No Pants Day is celebrated on the first Friday of every May. The day is a participatory yearly event celebrated in several nations. The day requires wearing just undergarments in the lower part of the body, in public. People are encouraged to act as if not wearing pants is a regular thing to do.
“All the suits I buy have to be tailored, no matter what. But it’s not just because of my height; it’s because I’ve been skating for so long. My waist is very small, but my legs are just massive. Most nice suit makers are Italian, and usually, they make suit pants for Italian men. I’m like, Those Italians must have pretty skinny legs’.” – Apolo Ohno
History of No Pants Day
The exact origin and the founder of No Pants Day are still unknown. A small on-campus club at the University of Texas in Austin known as the Knighthood of Buh believes that dropping trousers on the first Friday of May was a funny stunt for the end of the semester. Informal for years, promotion works began in 2000. The incident attracted attention in other states and several parts of Canada as well as France, Sweden, Australia, Finland, and the United Kingdom. Thus it leads to the creation of No Pants Day. Overall, the day is a fantastic holiday that suggests to us that true freedom requires but one thing, legs unfettered from the restraint of denim, polyester, or any other fabric that would hold them, prisoner.
