History of National Corn Dog Day
The National Corn Dog Day has been feasted since the year 1992. Brady Zahnow and Henry Otley have inaugurated the Day for the Corn Dog in Corvallis, Oregon. Since then this Day has been in celebration. The founders of this Day have created this celebration in honor of the saving grace of the corn dogs and the basketball which is March Madness. Although the first observance of this food feast was informal and involved only corndogs and basketball, it was expanded in the later years with the inclusion of tater tots and beer. The Corndog Day is a celebration concerning basketball, the corn dog. Corn Dog is a sausage that is usually a hot dog placed on a stick that has been coated with a thick layer of cornmeal batter and finally deep-fried. The German Texan sausage-makers have been credited with introducing the corn dog to the United States.
