The United Kingdom celebrates this healthy holiday that traditionally falls on 21 October. Although this date is precisely chosen for the celebration, various events are held throughout the month. It is a weekend celebration event. The festival Day usually takes place on the Saturday and Sunday closest to 30 October.
The UK gathers every year for a celebration of the most delicious harvest of the year. People come together to share the joy and fun of the apples. Within a decade, this day was celebrated with more than 600 events around the United Kingdom. Common Ground used the apples as a symbol of physical, cultural, and genetic diversity. They used this to make us understand that we should not let slip away these heritages. Common Ground aims to link particular apples with their place of origin. They believe that the orchards will be recognized and conserved for their contribution to local distinctiveness. The distinctiveness includes the rich diversity of wildlife they support.
