National Chocolate Eclair Day is celebrated on June 22 of every year. National Chocolate Eclair Day is a day for all to enjoy a delightful cream-filled pastry wrapped in smooth chocolate. The French make many light delicacies from a dough called pate a choux. One of these delicacies is the Eclair. It is ducted into an oblong shape using a pastry bag. When roasted, it is light and crispy on the outside and hollow on the inside, making it an excellent avenue for transporting creamy vanilla and chocolate creme. The word “Eclair” comes from the French word. It means “flash of lightning.”
History and Origin of National Chocolate Eclair Day
At the beginning of the Nineteenth era in France, the eclair was first called “pain à la Duchesse” or “Petite Duchesse.” It is considered, by food archivists, that eclairs were first made by French cook Antonin Careme who lived from 1784-1833. IN 1884, Boston Cooking School Cook had written a book by Mrs. D.A. Lincoln, which has the first well-known English-language procedure for eclairs.
“The two are not quite identical. Long Johns are made with donut pastry and typically filled with a vanilla pudding or custard, making it a simpler and less expensive alternative to the eclair.” – Long Johns
