History of National Cheesecake Day
The creator or founder of National Cheesecake Day is still unknown. Cheesecakes whether baked or chilled are originated in ancient Greece, have become a leading dessert at restaurants and bakeries around the world. It has been believed that the earliest attested mention of this cake is by Greek physician Aegimus, he wrote a book on the art of making cheesecakes and in the year 1912 James Kraft produced a form of pasteurized cream cheese. James Kraft got the Philadelphia trademark In the year 1928 and marketed pasteurized Philadelphia Cream Cheese it is the most regularly used cheese for cheesecake nowadays. Cheesecakes can be produced baked or unbaked, and these cheesecakes are mostly topped with fruit, chocolate or whipped cream. Cheesecakes can be flavored. There are different flavors in which cheesecakes can be prepared like blueberry, strawberry, lemon, orange, raspberry, pumpkin, chocolate, or toffee.
