Inconvenience Yourself Day is celebrated on the fourth Wednesday of February of every year. This year it will be celebrated on February 24. Inconvenience in general means causing difficulty to one’s requirements and comfort, like a need to change trains before reaching the workplace. But this day is tied in with accomplishing something small, making a special effort from usual, and helping someone else. It can be as simple as holding doors for others, wishing strangers a good day, or giving up a seat to older adults. The purpose of this day is to give yourself a small bother keeping in mind to make another person’s day go a little smoother.
“An adventure is only an inconvenience rightly considered. An inconvenience is only an adventure wrongly considered.” – Gilbert K Chesterton
